Where I'm Coming From
My name is Patrick Rife and I'm a father of three, a husband to one and a tireless (actually, sometimes I'm pretty tired) entrepreneur and creative.I've been an entrepreneur my entire life. I've stacked skills, faced down challenges and pivoted more times than I can count. From solopreneurship to bootstrapping service based businesses and everything in between.Growing up my maternal grandfather was a maker, a builder and so many other things. From an early age he instilled in me the realization that you could build your own world and fill it with whatever you saw fit.I strongly believe his influence and nurturing have always been the impetus for most everything I've done and created in my life. From organizing shows for my bands, to creating a universe for my friends and I to disappear into. I have always sought the avenues to create my own path when access to what I wanted wasn't available.I have carried these sentiments long and hard throughout my life. From project to project and business to business, I've more often than not blazed my own trail rather than wait to get the invite to walk someone else's.For me these have been the totems around which I have organized my life and I am grateful for those lessons and opportunities.

I've wanted to be a writer for as long as I can remember but always felt like I needed to stack more skills and experiences to inform my writing.Today, I'm ready to admit that time may never arrive.So I'm drawing a line in the stand and starting from here.
